A Tribute to my Mother-In-Law's Paintings...

My mother-in-law, Mrs. Brawley, has been taking toile painting classes since my hubby was little. She is so very talented and does such a wonderful job on each masterpiece she creates. The details are spectacular! She doesn't think she's that great of an artist, but you be the judge! She's not one to brag about herself or her skills but I just had to show off some of the gorgeous pieces that are all around our home.

Here is her newest creation....Boston's toybox. What an amazing thing for my boys to pass down to future generations!

The original...the amazing toybox she made for Benz's first birthday in 2004.

A painting for Christmas for our bedroom.

My signature symbol, the fleur de lis...a gift just because!

Have you ever seen such a beautiful cake cover? Think this one was for a Mother's Day a few years back. She also made one for my Mom.

A table she painted years ago...one of the first pieces of furniture when we moved into our new house. It's been well loved:)

A few pictures for the nursery....

Another table in our house that I love.

A chest she painted for Matt years back when he was a little boy.

Three paintings of animals that hang in Benz's room. They look like some you'd find in Pottery Barn Kids, but even cuter!

And the magnolia that hangs in our bathroom.

Our New Little Soccer Star!

We've been trying to keep Benz active in the winter months with a new sport each month. He is enjoying exploring them at our local community center. We started with swimming, basketball, then roller skating and he just finished up indoor soccer. He seems to like soccer the most, so far, but we are holding out hope he will be a natural at tee-ball in the spring:) He's always been very physically coordinated and is a true boy in the sense of needing to run around and get his energy out! Next up, indoor hockey....
